Zahra Aminolroaya is a senior Ph.D. candidate at the UCalgary computer science department. She is under the supervision of Dr. Frank Maurer and Dr. Samuel Wiebe. Zahra has focused on improving the clinical workflow of epilepsy neurologists for more than three years. She is knowledgeable about Virtual reality technology (VR) and natural language processing (NLP). Her contributions include deploying VR to improve neurologists’ understanding of seizure propagation and applying NLP methods for surgery prediction on epilepsy clinical notes. She has been awarded Alberta Graduate Excellence Scholarship (AGES) and Alberta Innovates Graduate Student Scholarships (2 years). Zahra has more than three years of experience in the industry as a data analyst.
