Farzana Aktar a master’s studentĀ at the University of Calgary. She is currently working in the ASE lab under the supervision of Dr. Frank Maurer. She did her bachelor’s in software engineering from the University of Dhaka in Bangladesh. She did her undergrad thesis on speech recognition techniques for Bengali Digits. She also worked on various projects involving image processing and regression of time series data. In her undergrad, she co-authored a publication for bug feature extraction. Her interest lies in machine learning, data science, data visualization, immersive analytics, and extended reality research and applications. |
